Palm Beach County, Florida ñ A new duly incorporated and registered 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization has made its debut in the Palm Beach county community. According to Roger J.Mealey, Jr. C.F.O. of Empowerment USA, Inc. the initial goal of the organization is to help the foreign-born to learn the English language in an environment where they feel culturally safe and welcome. He adds, Once language is mastered, computer skills will be taught to help them secure better employment and to improve the quality of their lives. In addition states Mealey, the program will benefit the community by providing a ready and skilled workforce.
The founding of E.U.I. was engendered to provide better and more efficient services to those in need and to make a difference in their lives. The leadership of E.U.I is comprised of a core group of individuals, all of whom are bi-lingual and have previous experience working in non-profit organizations. The key personnel in this non- profit have a wealth of business and management experience as well.
-Eddy Diaz, CEO, also brings multinational sales experience, having been an account executive for 3M Corporation
-Roger J. Mealey, Jr., C.F.O, comes to the organization as a former international executive for multinational companies, Motorola, Inc. and other well know entities.
-Carla Thurman, Directors, holds a Master of Social Sciences degree from Bridgeport University, CT.
-Maria Boquin, Director, is a social worker with 10 years of experience in non-profits and social organizations in New York.
-One of our Board members, has financial expertise as the VP of a Major Banks Trust Department.
While Empowerment USA, Inc. has several aggressive phases of growth scheduled for its overall program, it must first seek funding from sponsors, the community and its environs in order to open its doors. It is also in need of a facility from which to operate.
