Master Joseph H. Pierro Inducted into the United States Martial Arts Association's Hall of Fame
JUPITER, Fl. (August 23, 2004) – The United States Martial Arts Association (USMA) inducted local martial arts instructor, Joseph H. Pierro into their Hall of Fame as a Master Instructor of the Year on July 24, 2004 in St. Louis, MO. Master Pierro is the owner and chief instructor of Villari's Martial Arts Center of Jupiter on Indiantown Road and has been there since 1996.
Upon hearing news of his selection, Pierro stated, “The USMA is an outstanding organization and I am deeply honored to have been selected as a Master Instructor of the Year.” The USMA is a non-profit corporation, founded in 1996 that seeks to unify martial arts practitioners by offering services and guidance to all.
Master Joseph Pierro began his career in the martial arts over thirty years ago and has achieved the rank of 6th degree black belt in Shaolin Kempo Karate. He has been teaching martial arts to his students for fifteen years. In addition to being admitted to the USMA Hall of Fame, he has been inducted into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame in March of 2004 and the Fred Villari's Studios of Self Defense Hall of Fame in 2000. He is also a member of America In Defense (AID), an organization that is sponsored by World Black Belt, that teaches flight attendants and crew how to protect themselves against terrorists on the aircrafts.
When asked about his instructor, local attorney and black belt Mark W. Klingensmith had this to say, “Not only is Joe a phenomenal martial artist with an extraordinary grasp of the material and its everyday application, but he teaches and practices with the highest degree of ethics and character. I am proud to call him my teacher and my friend.”
