The Jewels of Lifes American Lung Associations Exceptionally Special Gala Event, Friday, March 3rd, 2006 at the Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach
WEST PALM BEACH, FL (February 2006)American Lung Association of FloridaSoutheast Area, announces the Fourth (4th) Annual Oxygen Ball, an evening of glamour, excitement, dancing and culinary delights. The Las Joyas de la Vida/ The Jewels of Life Oxygen Ball will be held on Friday, March 3, 2006 at 6:00 PM at the Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach. Dancing into the night will be to the sizzling sounds of Fiesta Tropicale. Couples and singles are welcome, and gentlemen hosts will be on hand to ensure everyone has an opportunity to enjoy the dancing. A silent auction, chaired by Hannah Kamin and hosted by radio personality Chet Tart of WRMF, will offer exciting donated merchandise, fabulous cruises, fine wines and exotic fare. This unique event will also feature live interactive demonstrations of culinary technique, decorating, jewelry and craft making.
Film star, Tony Curtis has donated An Evening with Tony Curtis in Las Vegas for the Silent Auction. Mr. Curtis and his wife, Jill Vandenberg Curtis, will be joining the winner at an exclusive dinner in Las Vegas, and Mr. Curtis is also donating a hand signed print of one of his artworks, Mar-a-Lago, to the auction recipient for a minimum bid package of $5,000.00. Gifts to be auctioned at the gala in addition to the star night with Mr. Curtis include a Kretzer Baby Grand Piano, a seven-night night Caribbean Cruise for Two on MSC Cruise Lines; a Windjammer Cruise for Two; a seven-day Caribbean Cruise for Two aboard a SeaDream Yacht; a two-night stay in an oceanfront guest room at Ritz Carlton Palm Beach; a two-night getaway cruise on Imperial Majesty Cruise Lines from Ft. Pre-events surrounding the gala included a sponsor reception at Tiffanys Jewelers, Palm Beach January 31, 2006, and a gathering at Columbia Restaurant at Cityplace, sponsored by la Portada magazine. The Ball, chaired by Norma Fireman and Suzi Goldsmith, will benefit children and adults who suffer from lung disease. Event Designer, Kenny Sharples of Creations Productions is in charge of the décor. The Gala is themed as a grand jeweled event, and the décor will match the drama and colorations of exotic jewels.
