Over the bank?
This one is called " No Tree left behind!"
What happens when water from rain flows over the bank? This area was completely filled with dirt and then sodded over. The dirt and the sod are now part of the lagoon. And, there is no dirt left in the voids. Obviously this storm basin is not adequate for this section of road. Has any one actually looked at the run off rates for this area and determined what volume needs to be handled by these storm drains to prevent overbank erosion? I'm guessing not.

What does the "most diverse estuary in North America" now look like after a day of rain? Not pretty is it? And the really scary part is, this is the completed section, so this is how it will look on a go forward until all of that dirt is off the blocks and in the lagoon. At what point will someone have the leadership skills and moral standards to actually step up and say "STOP!", This is a mistake, we need to rethink this and fix it? It's not worth 30 million?

I've asked myself this question daily for 3 months now. Apparently the answer is never.
