The Palm Beach County Cultural Council announces the premiere of CultureCard, a flagship benefit in a newly revamped Cultural Council membership program.
All members who join or renew at $150 or above will be mailed a CultureCard by October 1. The card’s benefits include discounts to performances and exhibitions (a full list of benefits to date is attached). Members will also receive special benefits of the month (October’s benefits are also in the attachment), which will be announced in each issue of Culture and on the Cultural Council’s website,
www.palmbeachculture.com. The benefits package is continually growing, and all new developments will also be posted on the website.
“The Cultural Council developed this program because we wanted to add value to both our individual and organization memberships,” says Sonya Davis, Vice President for Services and Education. “We are so appreciative of our members’ support. We believe that by promoting the wonderful array of arts and cultural opportunities in our County through CultureCard, we are able to demonstrate our gratitude to them while also helping to strengthen the cultural community itself.”
More than two dozen exciting, nonprofit cultural organizations support CultureCard to date. Ms. Davis reports that, “We’re delighted with the response. Our goal was to launch with 20 – and we’ve exceeded that --- plus more organizations are enrolling each week.”

Only a few arts councils nationwide have programs similar to the CultureCard. Davis notes that: “The CultureCard was conceived and developed by our staff to take advantage of the wonderful cultural resources that are available to us in Palm Beach County. CultureCard benefits cover a wide mix of geography and disciplines, so there are opportunities for Cultural Council members in all parts of the County. This program is so exciting, and as new participating organizations and discounts are added in the months ahead it will become even more dynamic.”
The CultureCard is part of a refreshed Cultural Council Membership program on all levels. Some other new membership features include:
Three discount coupons to Palm Beach County’s favorite children’s attractions for Friends of the Arts $100 Family Memberships.
New Artists Memberships include a personal website link from the Council’s site, plus directories and links to various “calls to artists” (in development).
Two season passes to dmg world media weekend shows and fairs for all Patron of the Arts.
Corporate Memberships for as little as $1,000.
With the addition of CultureCard and the other new Cultural Council membership features, the Council’s membership program has greatly added value to individual, organization, and corporate levels, bringing greater visibility to Palm Beach County’s wonderful cultural assets.
