The Florida Arts Council recently recessed from a series of meetings in the Kravis Center to enjoy a Gilded-Age style luncheon hosted by the Palm Beach County Cultural Council at the Flagler Museums Flagler Kenan Pavilion.
Delicious finger sandwiches and hot tea were only part of the treat. Traveling by ferry, the Arts Council enjoyed scenic views of the Palm Beach area from the intracoastal before docking at the Flagler.
Joining the Council for lunch were local politicians, cultural leaders and executives.
The Florida Arts Council advises the Secretary of State about cultural grant funding and all other matters pertaining to culture in Florida. Council members are appointed by the Governor, President of the Senate and Speaker of the House, in consultation with the Secretary of State.
