"The many worlds Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics says that different editions of us live in many worlds simultaneously, an uncountable number of them, and they are all real."
Gary Zukav,The Dancing Wu Li Masters

`Who are YOU?' said the Caterpillar.
This was not an encouraging opening for a conversation.  Alice replied, rather shyly, `I--I hardly know, sir, just at present-- at least I know who I WAS when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.'
Lewis Carroll, from Alice In Wonderland

Compiled by Gary Pearlman

Stranger than science fiction
Quantum mechanics has created a fascinating new prospect, the many worlds view. This suggests for each quantum event the universe divides into many other universes, each one having a new or different outcome. We may live many lives simultaneously. “If the attitude of quantum mechanics is correct, the conclusion here is not that there may not be a substantive physical world but rather that there definitely is not a substantive world. ‘This claim at first appears so preposterous that our inclination is to discard it. However, there are good reasons why we should not be so hasty. One reason is that quantum mechanics is a logically consistent system. It is self-consistent and is also consistent with all known experiments. The experimental evidence itself is incompatible with our ordinary ideas about reality, it is evident that even physicists who disclaim metaphysics have difficulty avoiding it. In short, classical physics says that there is one world, it is as it appears and this is it. Quantum physics allows us to entertain the possibility that it is not so. The many worlds Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics says that different editions of us live in many worlds simultaneously, an uncountable number of them, and they are all real.’ Gary Zukav, The Dancing Wu Li Masters
Mumbo Jumbo?

“In waking life you perceive only certain portions of events that fall within your space-time continuum. In dreams you may have a greater glimpse. You may for example see in the past, present and future, objects that in your time will take up any given space. Often such a dream will be considered meaningless because at your “fact level,” past, present and future objects cannot appear at once in the same space. The space is not the same, or identical, in any case. It only appears to be so to you.
Space itself accelerates in ways that you do not understand. You are not tuned into those frequencies. Any point in space is also a point in what you think of as time, a doorway that you have not learned to open.
In somewhat the same manner, your physical brain is a doorway that triggers activity in your mind. Your beliefs then are largely responsible for the areas of the brain that you activate, and for the resulting nonphysical action of the mind... The brain can be called simply the physical counterpart of the mind. By means of the brain the functions of the soul and intellect are connected with the body. Through the characteristics of the brain, events that are of nonphysical origin become physically valid. There is a definite filtering and focusing effect at work, then. Practically speaking, you do indeed form the appearance that reality takes through your conscious beliefs. Those beliefs are used as a screening and directing agents, separating certain nonphysical probable events from others, and bringing them into three-dimensional actuality.”
The nature of personal reality, Jane Roberts

Grander surprises?

“Einstein’s vivid description of his own quest to understand gravity –– ‘the years of anxious searching in the dark, with their intense longing, their alternations of confidence and exhaustion, and final emergence into the light’–– encompasses, surely the whole human struggle. We are all, each in our own way, seekers of the truth and we each long for an answer to why we are here.’ Already through studies in M –theory, we have seen glimpses of a strange new domain of the universe, possibly one in which there is no notion of time or space... Quantum mechanics and the theories of relativity are deep beyond anyone’s wildest expectations: Wave functions, probabilities, quantum tunneling, the ceaseless roiling energy fluctuations of the vacuum, the smearing together of space and time, the relative nature of simultaneity, the warping of the spacetime fabric, black holes. The search is not over, but through superstring theory and it’s evolution into M –theory, a cogent framework for merging quantum mechanics, general relativity, and the strong, weak, and electromagnetic forces has finally emerged. And the challenges these developments pose to our previous way of seeing the world are monumental: loops of strings and oscillating globules, uniting all of creation into vibrational patterns that are meticulously executed in a universe with numerous hidden dimensions capable of undergoing extreme contortions in which the spatial fabric tears and then rebuilds itself. Who could have guessed that the merging of gravity and quantum mechanics into a unified theory of all matter and all forces would yield such a revolution in the understanding of how the universe works? ... No doubt there are even grander surprises in store for us.”
The Elegant Universe, Brian Greene

In the year 2099
Machine-based intelligence derived from extended models of human intelligence claim to be human
There is a strong trend toward a merger of human thinking with the world of machine intelligence that the human species initially created. There is no longer any clear distinction between humans and computers. Most conscious entities do not have a permanent physical presence. Machine-based intelligence derived from extended models of human intelligence claim to be human, although their brains are not based on carbon-based cellular processes, but rather electronic and photonic equivalents. Most of these intelligences are not tied to a specific computational processing unit. The number of software-based humans vastly exceeds those still using native neuron-cell-based computation. Even among those human intelligences still using carbon-based neurons, there is ubiquitous use of neural-implant technology, which provides enormous augmentation of human perceptual and cognitive abilities. Humans who do not utilize such implants are unable to meaningfully participate in dialogues with those who do. Because most information is published using standard assimilated knowledge protocols, information can be instantly understood. The goal of education, and of intelligent beings, is discovering new knowledge to learn. Femto-engineering (engineering at the scale of femtometers or one-thousandth of a trillion of a meter) proposals are controversial. (Femtoengineering will involve engineering using mechanisms within a quark.)
Life expectancy is no longer a viable term in relation to intelligent beings.
The Age of Spiritual Machines,
Ray Kurzwell

1. A moving object measures shorter as its speed increases, until moving at the speed of light (186,000 miles per second) it disappears
2. The mass of a moving object increases as it’s speed increases, until at the speed of light, its mass becomes infinite

3. Moving clocks run more slowly as their speed increases until, at the speed of light, they stop running altogether.

4. Energy and mass are actually different forms of the same thing energy-mass. E=mc2, The amount of Energy in a piece of Matter is equal to the mass of the matter multiplied by the speed of light (C) squared. Even the tiniest particle of matter has a tremendous amount of energy
5. That space and time are not two separate things but instead form the same thing space-time.
We live in a four dimensional world, not a three dimensional world. Thus far every aspect of Einstein's theory has been tested and proved. This last part is also a mathematical proposition.

Einstein mathematically shows us that we live in a four dimensional world, where everything that now seems to unfold before us as time passes, already exists in full. Painted on the fabric of space-time. We can he says, see all of the past, the present, and the future, all at once.
This is the only part that has yet to be proved. It is only a mathematical proposition, We could never really prove eternity ... Right?

To see a World in a Grain of Sand And a Heaven in a Wild Flower. Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand And Eternity in an hour
William Blake

Before & After

Before Einstein the world was a constant and what we observed was reality. After Einstein the world was constant as long as we understood that what we observed was relative to our position in the world. The theory of relativity does not tell us that everything is relative, but that appearances are relative. (It shows us that appearances are dependent on our state of motion) If we changed our relation to the world, the world itself changed. Before Einstein, matter was defined by the shape it took. After Einstein matter was defined by the amount of energy it contained. Before Einstein, time was a progressive march forward that could be measured by a clock. After Einstein, time by itself disappeared and converged with space to form a continuum where the past, present, and the future all merged in an almost incomprehensible reality, where the past, present, and future could all be observed at once.
Albert Einstein gave us knowledge that changed the world we live in today (Einstein's work E=mc2 was the formula that led to the Manhattan project and was instrumental in creating the atomic bomb) but more importantly, he gave us reason to believe that our reality is only the tip of the iceberg. That indeed anything is possible.
Many others made significant impacts on our
life by the way they moved through and influenced the world, whether for good or bad. But Hitler, for bad and Churchill for good, both had impacts that will fade with time. Much as the impact of the Roman Empire faded and has little effect on us today. The effect of Einstein's work, far from fading will give others a base to explore what the universe is, not only how we live in it. What reality is and our relation to it.
He gave us a reference point to think differently. To dare to find what the laws of reality are beyond our casual observations. To reach a place where our imagination is as vital as our reality. He gave humanity a formula to reach for their destiny.
Before Einstein, physicists wrote books that read like the old Dragnet television show. “Only the facts Sir.’ Today there are books by Physicists called “The Physics of immortality,” “The Mind of God,” “The dancing Wu Li Masters,” all written by very respectable physicists. Einstein has steered physicists (who used to make accountants seem flamboyant) toward proving immortality.
Albert Einstein gave us more than a better world, he opened up a new one. As Ronald Reagan once said, You aint seen nuthin yet”
Albert Einstein was born in 1879 in Ulm, Germany. He went to school in Switzerland and became a Swiss student in 1900. He received his Ph. D, in 1905 from the University of Zurich. In 1905, the same year, he published his papers on The special theory of relativity, the photoelectric effect and the Brownian motion. In 1915 he succeeded in formulating the General theory of relativity and in 1921 received the Nobel Prize.
Since Einstein was Jewish, living in Germany became dangerous when Hitler rose to power. In 1933, he moved to Princeton, New Jersey. He became a US citizen in 1940. Einstein's first marriage ended in divorce, his second seemed to be happy. He had two children, both boys. He died in 1955, in Princeton.
