THE FLORIDA BAR OFFERS SPEAKERS ON LIVING WILLS AND HEALTH CARE SURROGATES
Tallahassee, Feb. 25, 2004 – The Florida Bar and the Florida Medical Association have combined to sponsor a public service campaign to educate people about the benefits of preparing living wills and designating health care surrogates.

Every competent adult has the right to make a written declaration commonly known as a "Living Will." The purpose of this document is to direct the provision, the withholding or withdrawal of life prolonging procedures in the event one should have a terminal condition. The Florida Bar Speakers Bureau has recruited members of its Elder Law, Health Law, and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law sections as volunteer speakers to civic, professional, social and community organizations on this topic, at no cost.

If you would like to have a volunteer speaker address your organization, you may contact Gail Grimes at ggrimes@flabar.org, or telephone 850/561-5767, or fax 850/561-5733. If you have other speaker needs, let us help you with those as well.
