GOVERNOR BUSH APPOINTS JORGE I. PEDRAZA TO THE 11th JUDICIAL CIRCUIT COURT

TALLAHASSEE -- Governor Jeb Bush today announced the appointment of Jorge I. Pedraza to the 11th Circuit Court, which serves Miami-Dade County. Pedraza will fill the vacancy created by the death of Judge Sidney Shapiro.

Pedraza, 53, of Pinecrest, has been a partner with Rivkind & Pedraza, P.A., since 1988. Prior to that, he was a partner with Lipcon, Pedraza, & Rivkind, P.A.

Pedraza received his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami in 1973, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 1981.
