| I am located in Northern Maryland. In early June, I sent the control module of my Mercedes Benz CLK 320 to be rebulit by Auto & Truck Electronics (ATE). For this service I paid $495, upon which I was told that I would receive a fully rebuilt and working control module in two days of the company's receipt of the defective module. When the company eventually sent my supposedly rebuilt module several weeks later, the module failed to work. At that time, ATE told me to take the module to a Mercedes dealer to have it reprogrammed and that then it will work. I had to pay $149 dollars to have the module tested to find out by the dealer that the module is not working. Furtermore, Mercedes noted that there is no need for a control module to be programmed ---as long as the module is functional it works automatically when installed. It was clear that ATE has not repaired the module as they said they would. After getting thsi infomation from the Mercedes dealer, I immediately called ATE and provided them with the information. They requested that I resent the module to them so that they can retest it and repair it, which I did. It has since been over a month that I have been unable to get a working module or a refund of my money. I have been given all kinds of excuses and have not been able to contact the people in this company by phone. ATE's communication with clients seems to be limited only to e-mails, which they have usually responded to in an untimely manner. I am desperately in need of some help in getting this company to act. I have been unable to use my car now for two months as this control device is responsible for controlling the opening/closing of my convertible top and windows, among other things. I would appreciate any help that I can get in exposing this company. I feel that putting them in the spotlight for their poor customer service will prompt them to act, or hopefully it will cause them ro get less business from prospective customers, which they seem to be utterly undeserving of..Thank you. |

| This company signed a preventive maintenance contract with my father who has Alzheimer's. I was not available at the time or I would have stopped the signing as my father already was signed up with a contract with another company. I am not faulting Aztil for obtaining the contract they had no way of knowing. When I found out I cancelled the contract with phone calls and with certified letters to Aztil as per their contract. My father should have received a prorated check. HE HAS NOT. They have promised to handle this multiple times. NO CHECK. They told the BBB that they would send a copy of the check on 6/30/05. NO CHECK and no copy to the BBB. I have made 15 calls to the company and sent letters to the CEO. NO CHECK.This has been going on for 4 months. They have completely ignored their own contract obligations for cancelation and have kept my fathers money. They know he is elderly (89)and completely unaware of what has happened and they must be counting on this whole thing going away such that they can just keep the money. I am completely disgusted with the ethics of a company such as this cheating the elderly out of their money. |
